 I received my Hound
Heater yesterday and installed it today. I had a commercial
thermostat and attached it to that. I have it set at 48
degrees. What temperature would you suggest for the dogs. They
are Dalmatians, fairly short hair. It works great with the 105
watt ceramic heater. I installed it with the thumb screw down,
making a vent up and down. I could feel the heat coming out
the top vent. It will be a gradual heat and I guess that is
best. Believe it or not, it is not unusual for it to get to
-5, -10 degrees at night here in late Jan-Feb. I've tried them
all, mats, ceramic forced air heaters, etc. but this is the
best idea I have seen in years, no moving parts and nothing to
clog up. I plan to tell all my dog friends about it. Most use
a spot light but say the dogs don't like to go in the house
due to the bright light. This is great with the ceramic heat
element, no light and plenty of heat... thanks again, Jim
