  Welcome to Hount Heater!

Hound Heater
Hount Heater

The unit will stay at a constant 130 degrees when the outside temperature is below freezing, keeping your pet warm and comfortable. The larger Hound Heater I is 9" *9" *9". The smaller version is 5 1/2" * 5 1/2" '* 5 1/2". Both units will easily heat a house that is the size of a X-L Vari kennel It is safe and easy to install. It is made out of 18ga. galvanized metal so it is super strong and will last for many years, unlike your traditional mat heaters. When properly installed in an upper corner of the house, it doesn't take up any laying space for your animal. The lock system is a simple thumbscrew, so changing out the bulb is quick and easy.

  Hound Heater Accessories

  • Temperature Control Switch- This accessory can be used to adjust the temperature output of your Hound Heater and is also used to shut it off.
  • Ceramic Emitter - This accessory is used instead of a bulb.  It gives off NO light and should last the life of your dog.
  • Infrared Bulb - This accessory is used to give ultimate efficiency for your Hound Heater. Because of its higher wattage, it is recommended that you use it with the Temperature Control Switch

  2. Ceramic Emitter: $41.48 (shipped with heater)
  3. Infrared Bulb: $16.30 (shipped with heater)

  Testimonials

I received my Hound Heater yesterday and installed it today. I had a commercial thermostat and attached it to that. I have it set at 48 degrees. What temperature would you suggest for the dogs. They are Dalmatians, fairly short hair. It works great with the 105 watt ceramic heater. I installed it with the thumb screw down, making a vent up and down. I could feel the heat coming out the top vent. It will be a gradual heat and I guess that is best. Believe it or not, it is not unusual for it to get to -5, -10 degrees at night here in late Jan-Feb. I've tried them all, mats, ceramic forced air heaters, etc. but this is the best idea I have seen in years, no moving parts and nothing to clog up. I plan to tell all my dog friends about it. Most use a spot light but say the dogs don't like to go in the house due to the bright light. This is great with the ceramic heat element, no light and plenty of heat... thanks again, Jim Ridgway"
